Tottenham have approached Bournemouth to discuss a possible transfer for Antoine Semenyo before the transfer window closes, with a value on the player reportedly worth around £80 million should the Cherries consider a departure for the talented winger. Arguably Bournemouth's best player in recent seasons, Semenyo has started the season where he left off, scoring two goals in two Premier League games.
Ghana international Semenyo, who arrived at Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2023, is considered one of the club's most important players, and Andoni Iraola would like to keep the 25-year-old forward if possible, but the lure of Spurs could be hard to resist. Semenyo has made no secret of his desire to play European football, and with Tottenham in the Champions League this season, Semenyo's talents could be displayed at the highest level.
Semenyo still has three years remaining on his current deal, and Bournemouth do not need to sell, but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is panicking to sign an attacking player to replace the injured James Maddison before the window closes, and may be forced to sign the Chelsea-born player for well over the club's valuation.
