Manchester United attacker Matheus Cunha suffered a hamstring injury during the Premier League clash against Burnley at Old Trafford.
The Brazil international has had a promising start to his career with the Red Devils, but he could be sidelined for a while after today's setback.
Cunha was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee soon after his setback in the opening half and he will be assessed to find out the extent of the damage.
His absence could trigger the club's pursuit for another player, given they have just parted ways with Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund.
Antony and Jadon Sancho are also expected to be offloaded in the coming weeks and it remains to be seen whether United re-enter the market.
Kobbie Mainoo could operate in one of the number 10 roles, but manager Ruben Amorim has indicated that he could play in central midfield this term.
The United graduate has been told that he will be competing with captain Bruno Fernandes for the number eight position this campaign.
