Bayern Munich have eventually won the race to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson on loan this summer.
The Bavarian giants initially agreed to sign Jackson on loan for €15m with an option to buy for €80m next summer.
The deal was blocked by Liam Delap's hamstring injury, but the Blues decided to renegotiate on transfer deadline day.
After recalling Marc Guiu from his loan stint at Sunderland, Chelsea opened the door for Jackson's exit on new terms.
Bayern have now signed Jackson for a €16.5m loan fee. They will be obliged to buy for €65m based on a certain number of appearances.
Meanwhile, Jackson's exit and Delap's injury mean that Chelsea have just two specialist strikers in Joao Pedro and Guiu in the first-team squad.
David Datro Fofana has agreed to join Charlton Athletic on loan, but there is a nervous wait to find out whether the dealsheet was submitted on time.
Else, Fofana could be playing for the Blues' development squad.
