Chelsea assistant manager Willy Caballero has clarified that Benoit Badiashile and Josh Acheampong are OK after picking up injuries against Liverpool in the Premier League.
Badiashile and Acheampong were paired in the heart of the defence for the Blues on Saturday evening, and they were solid in the opening half where the Reds barely had a chance to score.
The duo were substituted in the second half with apparent injuries but speaking after the game, Caballero said that they are fine and need the international break to recover well.
He said: "They are OK. They were a little bit concerned about their situations but we talked with them and they are OK. They need this break to recover well."
Chelsea are unbeaten against the Reds at Stamford Bridge since 2021. They have climbed to sixth in the standings with 11 points after the late 2-1 win over Liverpool earlier today.
The Blues face Nottingham Forest on the road after the international break.
