Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on landing Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo in January, according to journalist David Ornstein.
The Ghana international was a top target for the Red Devils last summer, and manager Ruben Amorim had a personal dinner with the player.
However, a transfer did not materialise as United were reluctant to pay the reported £75 million fee to prise him away from Andoni Iraola's side.
Semenyo followed up to pen a new contract, but the deal has a release clause worth £65 million for the upcoming winter transfer window.
United are monitoring his situation, but as things stand, they may not afford him after a huge summer spending spree on Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.
Spurs have some financial leeway despite the summer spending and they are genuinely weighing up a move for the versatile attacker in the New Year, as per Ornstein's update.
Semenyo is open to the prospect of a bigger challenge in January.
