Eduardo may return in July

31 May 2008 - 01:00

Arsenal striker Eduardo has revealed that his recovery from the career threatening tackle he endured against Birmingham is well on track, and that the Gunners forward could return to action as soon as July.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • "I am returning to Europe from Brazil at the beginning of August, perhaps even the end of July," said Eduardo.

"Doctors tell me by then I will be fully recovered and able to play football again. I hope so too.

"I'm feeling well and my rehabilitation is going better than I would ever have hoped."

Eduardo missing out on the Euro 2008 tournament has been well publicised in Croatia, but Eduardo believes his side will cope without him.

"I think the boys will play very well without me - they'll get through the group and, after that, we'll have to wait and see."
