Manchester United have confirmed that they have parted ways with manager Ruben Amorim following a string of poor results.
The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League with 31 points, three behind Liverpool for the final Champions League spot.
Despite this, their form has been pretty poor with plenty of draws recently, and the club have opted for a change at the helm.
With Amorim's exit, Darren Fletcher has been confirmed as the new head coach on an interim basis for the next few matches.
The Red Devils have an away trip to Burnley on Wednesday night and they will be determined to end a two-match winless streak.
After the Clarets, the club have a testing schedule with two tough league encounters against Manchester City and Arsenal.
Amorim has got the better of both clubs in the past, and Fletcher has a huge challenge on motivating the squad for those games.
United are unlikely to make any winter signings.
