Former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has emerged as a possible candidate to replace Ruben Amorim, who was dismissed from the head coach role earlier on Monday.
Amorim was relieved from his duties by the Red Devils following a 1-1 draw against Leeds United on the road. United have placed Darren Fletcher on interim charge, but they are expected to announce a permanent manager soon.
There are no standout candidates at the moment, but reports claim that Maresca could be under consideration, given his good relationship with Jason Wilcox and Omar Berrada, who are part of the United hierarchy.
Maresca was an assistant manager at Man City under the duo's tutelage in the past, and there could be a reunion on the cards at Old Trafford.
As things stand, Fletcher will remain in charge for the upcoming league clash against Burnley at Turf Moor. The Red Devils will be aiming to return to winning ways after a couple of draws.
