Chelsea have received a potential blow in the pursuit of AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
The Blues looked into a deal for the Frenchman last summer, but they were put off by Milan's €30 million asking price for his services.
The west London giants have continued to be linked with him and it has been claimed that they could secure a free transfer in the summer.
Maignan's current deal expires on June 30, but Gianluca Di Marzio now claims that the 30-year-old is set to commit his future to Milan.
The news is a potential setback for the Blues, who had their sights on landing Maignan on a Bosman deal to compete with Roberto Sanchez.
Maignan has been one of Serie A's most reliable goalkeepers in recent years and he has played a big part in AC Milan's fine start to the campaign.
The Rossoneri are presently second in the standings with 38 points, four behind arch-rivals and leaders Inter Milan with one game in hand.
