Liverpool have no desire to sign Marc Guehi on a permanent deal during the ongoing transfer window.
The Reds were on the cusp of landing the England international last summer. He underwent a medical with the club, but Crystal Palace pulled the plug on the deal in the final hours on deadline day.
Guehi has since continued to impress in the Eagles shirt, but he could leave this winter with his contract expiring next summer. Manchester City are prepared to spend big to secure his services.
Liverpool are also keen on landing his signature, but the Reds are quite clear that they would prefer a free transfer next summer rather than spending over the odds for him in the current window.
Arsenal likewise share a similar stance on Guehi and the final decision is left to the player. Palace seem prepared to sell him to Man City for £40 million if he agrees personal terms with the Cityzens.
