Chelsea have confirmed the departure of winger Raheem Sterling by mutual consent.
The England international was deemed surplus to requirements by the Blues last season and was loaned out to Arsenal for the campaign.
He did not find a suitable club earlier this season. The Blues have now mutually agreed to terminate the winger's contract.
A statement read: "We thank Raheem for the contribution he made while a Chelsea player and wish him well for the next stage in his career."
Sterling has his sights on continuing his career in the Premier League and there has been concrete interest from Fulham in securing his services.
Serie A champions Napoli are also keen on landing the former Manchester City man, who is determined to revive his career after a dismal Chelsea spell.
With a contract termination, Sterling is free to choose his next club anytime and does not need to make a decision before Monday's transfer deadline.
