Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has confirmed that midfielder Mason Mount is nursing a knock ahead of the Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford this weekend.
The Red Devils continued their turnaround under Carrick with a third-straight league win yesterday. They registered a 3-2 victory over Fulham after a stoppage-time winner from Benjamin Sesko.
Mount was not in the matchday squad for the encounter and Carrick has revealed that the midfielder sustained a knock in training. The 44-year-old was optimistic that he will be available very soon.
The England international has had a tough career with the Red Devils and he has picked up countless injuries. His last setback has come at the wrong time and hopefully, he can return to training on short notice.
Alongside Mount, Matthijs de Ligt and Patrick Dorgu are out injured. De Ligt has not played since November with a back issue, while Dorgu is out for at least two months with a hamstring injury.
