Chelsea are prepared to pay around £87 million to purchase Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez during the summer transfer window, according to La Nacion.
The Blues have had a good Premier League campaign and they are currently fifth in the standings with 48 points and on course to qualify for the Champions League.
Joao Pedro has been impressive leading the line for the west London giants, but the Blues may want an upgrade on the Brazilian ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
La Nacion claim that the Blues are keen on landing Martinez, who has notched up 18 goals and four assists for Inter in all competitions this campaign.
The Blues are prepared to spend around £87m to land the 28-year-old and it remains to be seen whether the Nerazzurri can be convinced to part ways with him.
Martinez is the captain of the San Siro giants, but the Nerazzurri hierarchy could still be tempted to contemplate a sale if the Blues make such a huge proposal.
