Chelsea are not planning to part ways with manager Liam Rosenior despite their elimination from the Champions League this week.
The Blues have had a tough few weeks. They have fallen to sixth in the Premier League table, and have also bowed out of the Champions League.
The club suffered a heavy 8-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the European competition, which has led to criticism from the fans.
Despite this, the hierarchy are not contemplating the sacking of Rosenior and are prepared to keep the faith in the young Englishman.
Journalist Ben Jacobs said: "Well, at this stage, Chelsea continue to say that it’s a long-term project with Liam Rosenior."
The Blues are currently one point behind fifth-placed Liverpool. A top-five league finish will secure Champions League football.
Chelsea must return to winning ways against Everton on the road this weekend or the margin could increase even further.
Rosenior's job is completely safe at the moment, but the hierarchy could contemplate his dismissal if things don't improve.
