The Gunners are exploring the market for a new right-back with Ben White likely to head for the exit door during the off-season.

White has played second fiddle to Jurrien Timber at Arsenal and he is expected to push for a new challenge in the summer.

Livramento has been earmarked as an ideal target for the club and reports claim that he is widely expected to leave the Magpies.

He will enter the last two years of his contract this summer and as things stand, he has shown no intention of penning a renewal.

This could urge the Magpies to part ways with his services and reports claim that a deal could be agreed for around £60 million.

Arsenal are said to be leading the pursuit of the defender, but they are set to face competition from Manchester City for his services.
