Arsenal have entered the race to sign Manchester United target Ederson from Atalanta during the summer transfer window, according to Marca.
The Gunners are expected to pursue a new midfielder at the end of the season, and have been linked regularly with Newcastle United's Sandro Tonali.
However, that story appears to be agent-driven. Arsenal have not made any sort of contact with the Magpies to sign the Italy international.
Amidst this, Marca claim that the north London giants have entered the hunt for Ederson, who was formerly a top target for the Red Devils.
United looked at purchasing him before Manuel Ugarte two years ago, but Atalanta had no plans of parting ways with the midfielder.
That stance has now changed with Ederson set to enter the last year of his contract. Arsenal look set to battle it out with Atletico for him.
Ederson could be signed for a knockdown fee of £30 million. Barcelona have also been linked with the Brazilian ace in the past.
