Man Utd handed huge injury boost for Leeds game

01 April 2026 - 20:49

Manchester United have been handed a huge injury boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Leeds United at Old Trafford later this month.

  • Chelsea set Enzo Fernandez asking price
  • Brazilian winger wants to join Arsenal this summer
  • The Red Devils are presently third in the league standings with 55 points, seven ahead of sixth-placed Chelsea. They look on course to qualify for next season's Champions League but can't take things for granted.

Ahead of Leeds' visit, the club have received a timely boost with Lisandro Martinez back on the grass after a calf injury that has ruled him out for the past month. He is focused on making his return against Leeds.

United suffered a setback against Bournemouth last time around with Harry Maguire picking up a red card. With him suspended, Martinez could be fast-tracked to partner Leny Yoro in the heart of the defence.

The club have a quality young deputy in the form of Ayden Heaven, but manager Michael Carrick may prefer to rely on the experience of Martinez from the start. Heaven could come on as a substitute.
