Manchester United and Liverpool have been handed a big blow in the pursuit of RB Leipzig attacker Yan Diomande ahead of the summer transfer window.
Diomande signed for the Bundesliga outfit from Leganes last summer and he has been a key player for them with 19 goal contributions in 29 matches.
Leipzig currently value him in the region of 100 million euros, but they are under no pressure to sell, given there is no release clause in his contract.
Amidst this, it is claimed that Leipzig have opened fresh contract talks with the versatile winger and are prepared to double his current annual wages.
Leipzig are prepared to do so without a buy-out clause, but could secure a gentleman's agreement to sanction his sale at the end of next season.
The news is a huge blow for Liverpool, who have earmarked him as a potential replacement for the departing Mohamed Salah this summer.
United have likewise had him on their radar for the last few months, and may have to look elsewhere to bolster their wide attacking department.
