Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has confirmed a fresh hamstring injury for winger Jamie Gittens in training.
The Blues secured a comfortable 7-0 win over Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter-final yesterday. Gittens returned from a hamstring issue to train with the Blues, but he picked up an injury in the final session.
Speaking after the victory, Rosenior confirmed the latest setback for the Englishman, who has struggled with his fitness since he arrived from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
He said: "Unfortunately, Jamie, in training yesterday, picked up what looks like a hamstring injury again. We have to scan him and make sure. It's a real shame for him; I think it's the third time it's happened."
In Gittens absence, Pedro Neto has started on the left wing in recent games and Alejandro Garnacho has provided deputy off the bench. Hence, the club have the position well covered at the moment.
It remains to be seen whether Gittens will play again this term.
