The Hertha Berlin midfielder has made a rapid rise through the ranks, gaining attention for his calmness in possession, sharp passing and ability to dictate play well beyond his years. At just 16, he is already being viewed as a future elite level midfielder, with a style that suits top possession based sides.

City have built a reputation for identifying and signing young talent early, and Eichhorn fits perfectly into that model. The club are planning ahead in midfield, with an eye on long term succession and maintaining control in the centre of the pitch. His intelligence and positional discipline make him an ideal candidate to develop within their system.
