Chelsea could consider former Blues midfielder Cesc Fabregas as a potential candidate to succeed Liam Rosenior as the new head coach.
The Blues recently parted ways with Rosenior following a run of five league defeats without a goal. This has happened for the first time since 1912.
Hence, it was a no-brainer to end their association with Rosenior and the club have now started the hunt for a replacement ahead of next season.
Calum McFarlane has been placed on interim charge for the rest of the campaign as the Blues seek to pursue the right candidate for the job.
Amidst this, reports in Italy claim that Fabregas is quickly emerging as a concrete solution, particularly with Como likely to miss out on Champions League qualification.
Como have had a drastic dip in league form and they are currently five points adrift of fourth-placed Juventus for the Champions League position.
Fabregas previously committed to staying at Como if they make the UCL. The failure to do so opens the door for a potential reunion at Chelsea.
