Man Utd stance on signing Elliot Anderson revealed

Manchester United are unlikely to enter a bidding battle with Manchester City to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson this summer.

  • Chelsea tipped to sell £30m striker this summer
  • Andoni Iraola attracted to Chelsea project?

  • The Red Devils are poised to bolster their holding midfield department with Casemiro set to leave at the expiry of his contract on June 30.

Anderson has been identified as a top target to replace the Brazilian star, but reports claim they won't engage in a bidding war for him.

Man City have already made progress with the player's agent, and it is reported that the Englishman also prefers to join them over United.

United are aware of the developments, and they are unlikely to make an approach unless they receive an indication that Anderson would choose them.

Forest are expecting a big-money sale of their prized asset. They are expected to wait until after the World Cup to secure the best fee.

The Tricky Trees could hold out for as much as £100m for his sale.
