Newcastle eyes Gudjohnsen

Newcastle eyes Gudjohnsen

06 June 2008 - 15:58

Newcastle United target Eidur Gudjohnsen as a step to rebuild the squad.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Kevin Keegan wants to take back his club to old glory, and has not wasted any time in running to sign replacements.

Eidur Gudjohnsen is touted as the prime target after Barcelona has asked the player to find a new club for himself. Newcastle might have to shell about £4M to bring the player back to the Premier League.

The former Chelsea striker is also the number one in West Ham's shopping list.

Curbishley had tried to sign the Iceland international last season and would try to do that again.
