Liverpool eyeing transfer for 26yo Portuguese winger

Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Sporting CP winger Francisco Trincao during the summer transfer window.

  • The Merseyside giants are expected to strengthen the right wing department with Mohamed Salah on his way out on a free transfer.

RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande is the top target for the Reds, but they face stern competition from Paris Saint-Germain for his services.

Suppose they were to miss out on the player, the focus could turn to Trincao, who has been one of the best wide players in Portugal this term.

Trincao has notched up 13 goals and 18 assists for Sporting CP this campaign, and has also been an influential figure for Portugal.

The former Wolves man is ready to pursue a bigger challenge in the Premier League, and Liverpool are mentioned as his main suitors.

Trincao has a £52 million release clause in his contract, but he could be signed for much less. Sporting CP could accept a lower fixed fee with add-ons to part ways with the 26-year-old attacker.
