Manchester United have reportedly cooled their interest in signing Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba ahead of the next transfer window.
The Cameroonian ace was a top target for the Red Devils last summer, but they were put off by the huge £115m asking price set by the Seagulls.
Baleba was regarded as one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League at the time, but he has since had a disastrous 2025/26 campaign.
As a result, the 22-year-old is no longer in high demand and The Sun claim that the Red Devils have also decided to move on from the former Lille man.
United are currently in the process of landing Ederson from Atalanta. They are expected to pay around £38m to recruit the Brazilian midfielder.
Baleba is no longer viewed as a target, and the club could instead focus on someone else such as Newcastle United's Sandro Tonali, as per reports.
Tonali could be signed for around £86m in the coming weeks.
