Manchester United are prepared to compete with Liverpool to sign Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo this summer, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The 21-year-old had a good campaign with Les Dogues last term. He scored eight goals and provided seven assists from 41 appearances in all competitions.
He was a surprise pick in Belgium's World Cup squad and reports claim that he could be on the move this summer. Liverpool are keen on him but could face competition from the Red Devils.
Lille, on their part, are determined to keep hold of their prized asset, who can operate on the left wing or upfront. They may only contemplate his sale for 60 million euros.
Fernandez-Pardo is presently with his national side and a deal won't materialise until he returns. As things stand, no formal offers have been made for Lille to consider.
Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ahli have also been linked with the young attacker, but he has no desire to move to the Middle East at such a young stage in his playing career.
