Manchester City are reportedly aiming to beat Arsenal and Manchester United in the race to sign Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi this summer.
The Moroccan is one of the best young midfielders in Ligue 1 and he has been touted to pursue a bigger challenge away from Lille soon.
Arsenal and Man Utd have been linked with the 18-year-old, valued at £69m, but Les Dogues are not keen on sanctioning his sale this summer.
They ideally prefer to loan him back or agree a transfer for next term.
Amidst this, Man City have moved ahead in the pursuit as they are prepared to agree to the French club's demands for the teenage sensation.
Bouaddi would ideally prefer to join Paris Saint-Germain instead, but the European champions are not keen on landing another midfielder.
Things could change in the coming weeks, but it seems unlikely that PSG will compete with Man City to finalise a deal for the youngster.
