Juan Carlos Marlon has been linked with a shock move to the Premiership and Newcastle from Segunda Division side Hercules in Spain. It is understood that Newcastle are preparing a £1 million offer for the player.

Marlon hails from Peru, and is one of the most highly regarded players in Spain's second flight.



“I am happy in Spain, but it is logical that I would like to progress in my career,” Marion told Spanish media.



“If any big club wanted to sign me it would be an easy decision. England have a great league.”
