Serie A outfit Como have made an enquiry for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson during recent negotiations for Trevoh Chalobah.
Como recently had a meeting with the Blues regarding Chalobah, but they refused to match the reported valuation of around £25 million.
Chalobah's agents are now discussing terms with Inter Milan, and it looks like the Nerazzurri are expected to win the race for the defender.
Meanwhile, Chelsea could still do business with Como, who have made a surprise enquiry regarding Jackson in the last 24 hours.
Jackson spent the previous campaign on loan with Bayern Munich. He scored 10 goals for the German champions in all competitions.
Bayern did not take up the option to buy him, but the Blues are highly likely to sanction his sale during the current transfer window.
They have set an asking price of around £40m, but Como plan to negotiate a season-long loan with a conditional obligation to buy next summer.
Jackson is reportedly open to pursuing a new challenge in Serie A.
