Manchester United are weighing up a move for Roma midfielder Manu Kone after the recent purchase of Youri Tielemans.
The Red Devils confirmed the arrival of Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos earlier today and they have also agreed to trigger the 35 million pounds release clause in Tielemans' Aston Villa contract.
The Belgian has already agreed personal terms over a long-term deal and he is poised to undergo his medical in the next 24 hours.
It seems United are not done yet in strengthening their midfield department and they are looking at another marquee acquisition.
Corriere dello Sport claim that United are likewise keen on landing Kone from Roma and talks are underway with his agent.
Liverpool are also keen on landing the 25-year-old Frenchman but he won't come on the cheap particularly after his World Cup form.
Roma were looking for around 43 million pounds to part ways with Kone last month, and have now raised the figure to 51 million pounds and are expected to stay firm on that figure.
