Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has said that he is looking forward to working with striker Nicolas Jackson during the pre-season tour of Asia.
The Senegal international returned early from the World Cup this summer and he will be reporting with the Blues for the upcoming friendlies.
Speaking in his unveiling presser, Alonso was asked about the striker's future at the club to which he responded: "[Nicolas Jackson] is joining our tour in Asia. Looking forward to working with him in that time."
Jackson spent the previous campaign on loan with Bayern Munich. He had a good stint as Harry Kane's deputy, scoring 10 goals for them.
Despite this, the German champions decided against triggering the option to buy him, and Jackson will now report for Chelsea's pre-season.
Alonso appears prepared to analyse the striker's performances and attitude in pre-season before deciding on his future at the London side.
Jackson is said to be open to reviving his Blues career too.
