Aston Villa have discussed the possibility of signing Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson in the last 24 hours, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues recently reached an agreement with Villa to land Morgan Rogers. They have agreed to pay a staggering £117m for the winger.
As part of the deal, Villa have discussed signing a Chelsea player, and Jackson is one of the top names on their radar, according to Romano.
The Senegal international spent the previous campaign on loan with Bayern Munich, where he scored 10 goals and provided three assists.
Jackson barely impressed at the World Cup earlier this summer, but manager Xabi Alonso confirmed that he would travel for the pre-season tour.
Villa are now interested in landing the former Villarreal man and it remains to be seen whether they can reach an agreement for his services.
Chelsea are likely to demand at least £45 million for the striker, who has also been linked with Juventus and Inter Milan in recent days.
