Manchester United have earmarked Fulham star Sande Berge as a possible candidate to strengthen their midfield department this summer.
The Red Devils have already landed Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans to add quality to their midfield ahead of the new Premier League season.
However, they are eyeing another midfield recruit who is more defensive-minded. Berge is one of the names being considered at the moment.
The Norwegian was previously on United's radar during his time at Burnley, but he ended up joining the Cottagers instead after the lack of an approach.
United are seriously considering landing him this time and may have to spend at least £35m to persuade Fulham to sanction his sale.
Personal terms may not be an issue with Berge, who could accept a rotational role too. He is currently on holiday after the World Cup.
Aside from a third midfielder, United could spend big on a centre-forward particularly if Joshua Zirkzee leaves. Juventus want to land him.
