Gordon Strachan is keen to bring Man City's out-of-favour striker Darius Vassell to Celtic. Birmingham are also keen to tie-up a January transfer move for the England international striker.
Vassell's days at Eastlands appear to be numbered after slipping down the pecking order since the arrival of Sven-Goran Eriksson who managed him at England level where he won 22 caps.
Should Celtic sign the striker, it is believed that he may cost the Scottish giants a fee of over £4m.
