Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa has completed his medical with Arsenal ahead of his transfer.
The England international was a top target for the Premier League champions, and an agreement was reached to sign him for £51 million yesterday.
Konsa was immediately permitted to say farewell to his Villa teammates before travelling to London, where he underwent a medical today.
The examination has been successful, and the versatile defender will sign his contract tomorrow morning before being presented to the fans.
Konsa has not been registered in time to face Coventry City in the Premier League opener on Friday night, but will be present at the Emirates Stadium.
The 28-year-old will become Arsenal's fifth signing of the summer transfer window after Piero Hincapie, Illan Meslier, Christos Tzolis and Bruno Guimaraes.
Arsenal are not done yet in the transfer market and there are plans to pursue a marquee left winger before the transfer window closes on September 1.
