Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has urged the Gunners' hierarchy to try and sign Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz before the transfer window closes on September 1.
The Gunners tried to land the Juventus ace earlier in June, but the Bianconeri made it clear that he was not for sale. Since then, Arsenal have suffered setbacks in the pursuit of Morgan Rogers and Vinicius Junior.
Rogers moved to Chelsea from Aston Villa, while Vinicius penned a new long-term contract with Madrid. As a result, the Gunners have yet to land a marquee left winger, and they could now return for Yildiz's services.
Yildiz is said to welcome the possibility of joining the Gunners, and Tuttosport claim that Arteta is also eager to bring him to north London. Juventus insist he is not for sale, but Arsenal could test their resolve.
The Bianconeri have been unable to recoup sufficient funds from player sales and it is claimed that Arsenal could be willing to pay £86m to prise the Turkish ace away from Turin before the window closes.
