  • The Brazil international has had a fantastic start to the campaign with the Blues, scoring three goals and providing three assists.

He was recently withdrawn from the Brazil squad due to injury, and it has now been revealed that he has picked up an edema in his knee.

Blues boss Xabi Alonso has refused to rule out his participation against Brentford tomorrow, but he is unlikely to take a risk.

Alonso recently said that he does not want to rush Moises Caicedo back into action after he picked up a recurrence of a leg injury.

Based on those comments, the Spaniard may not want to risk Pedro, who could be available after the upcoming international break.

A three-and-a-half-week rest period is said to be required. The former Brighton man could be available after the internationals.
