Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur could compete for the signature of German striker Nicolo Tresoldi next year.
Tresoldi has been a superb signing for Club Brugge and he recently scored a brilliant hat-trick in a 4-3 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Inter's arch-rivals AC Milan are huge admirers of the talented marksman, but is claimed that they may not afford him after the huge outlay on Goncalo Ramos.
The Rossoneri are unlikely to back manager Ruben Amorim with another marquee striker signing and may have to settle for a low-cost solution next year.
This is a potential boost for Arsenal and Spurs, who have been closely monitoring Tresoldi's progress since his move from German football.
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has a good relationship with Brugge, having signed Christos Tzolis from them last summer.
Hence, the Gunners could have an upper hand over Spurs in the pursuit, given the latter are also languishing at the bottom of the league.
Tresoldi's arrival at Arsenal could lead to Viktor Gyokeres' exit.
