Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is expected to drop Eberechi Eze from the starting line-up for the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on the road on Wednesday.
The Gunners secured a slender 1-0 Premier League win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday. They had some good fortune and eventually scored from a Noni Madueke goal via a deflection.
Eze had initially got the nod over Madueke on the left wing, but the 28-year-old was non-existent and unsurprisingly subbed off at the break.
Madueke was lively off the bench as his replacement. He delivered several crosses before scoring the winner late on with his weaker right foot.
The former Chelsea man has been in fine form since the international break, and he made yet another crucial goal contribution for the Gunners.
It seems a no-brainer decision to start him and reports claim that manager Mikel Arteta is expected to drop Eze to pick Madueke on the left wing.
Arsenal beat Bayern 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium last term. Madueke scored in that game and will be aiming to impress on the road this time.
