Arsenal are poised to start Eberechi Eze during Saturday's Premier League clash against Everton at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners suffered a huge setback yesterday as Bukayo Saka picked up a quad injury against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
As a result, Eze was brought in on the left wing in the 10th minute, with Noni Madueke moving to the right after Saka's early substitution.
Eze made an instant impact on proceedings with his second goal of the European campaign and was superb with his defensive work too.
With Saka now sidelined for a while, Eze is expected to start on the left side of the Gunners' attack when they host Everton this weekend.
Madueke will no doubt play on the right wing for the short term. Max Dowman could be another solution off the bench if required.
Eze, 28, has yet to make a meaningful impact in the league this season and has the opportunity to do so against the Toffees on Saturday.
