Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Russia international and Spartak Moscow forward Roman Pavlyuchenko. Gordon Strachan reportedly watched the player in action during the Euro 2008 tournament.
A club spokesman told the Daily Record: "He is under contract until the summer of 2011.
"We have not received any offer for him, but we understand that there are clubs interested in signing Roman because he is such a good player.
"He has forced his way into the first XI and has been our top scorer, so the coach really does not want to sell him at this moment."
