German boss Bernd Schuster has admitted that he fully expects to pay 'big money' to land Cristiano Ronaldo from Man Utd. The big transfer talk this summer has been that the Portugal international is desperate to leave United for Madrid.
Some of the reports emanating from Spain indicate that Real Madrid are set to pay a fee of £80 million to land the winger.
"For a player of his kind of level, we must pay what is necessary," he told German television channel DSF. "Because, for us what is most important is to win the Champions League and he can help us achieve that."
