Benitez: no Liverpool row

Benitez: no Liverpool row

24 June 2008 - 23:38

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has moved quickly to reject rumours that he has had a major falling out with the club after reportedly asking for a £50 million transfer kitty. The Spaniard actually denied that he even was after that kind of money.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Benitez told the Liverpool Echo: "The stories are ridiculous. Total rubbish.

"They have me trying to sign Daniel Alves, who already has an agreement with Barcelona, so how could I be trying to sign him?

"I am working hard with Rick Parry, who is in regular contact with the Americans, and there are no problems.

    "The reports are just unbelievable."
