29 June 2008 - 10:15

It is understood that Roy Keane is hoping to hijack Fenerbahce's swoop for Spanish international striker Daniel Guiza. The Sunderland coach is set to make a £5 million offer for the Mallorca man.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Bournemouth star
  • Real Madrid planning mega swoop for Chelsea star
  • Guiza has been in sterling form for the Spanish side in Euro 2008, and it is also understood that Fenerbahce agreed a fee with Mallorca; but now Sunderland have made a late offer for the player.

Guiza was also being tracked by Barcelona; but nothing of the interest was ever confirmed.

Guiza is expected to make a decision on his return from Austria and Switzerland.
