AC Milan have refused to renew the contract of the Brazilian international striker Ronaldo who is currently nursing a knee injury.
Ronaldo's contract at Milan ended yesterday and this implies that the player is now a free agent. Milan have still not made a decision on whether to renew the 31-year old's contract or not but it appears likely that they wouldn't do so.
Ronaldo ruptured his knee ligaments in a match against Livorno in the Italian Serie A in February and shall not make a comeback until early 2009.
AC Milan, who have pledged to undergo a squad refurbishment in the summer, have decided to monitor Ronaldo's progress and would make up their mind only later.
