Sampdoria want Pato

01 July 2008 - 21:27

According to the Turin based italian sports daily Tuttosport, Italian Serie A club Sampdoria are lining up an ambitious bid for the AC MIlan's wonder kid Alexander Pato.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Pato was signed by Milan last summer but could make his debut for the Rossoneri only in January 2008. He however was a huge hit as he scored 9 goals in 18 league matches for MIlan.

Sampdoria seem to want Pato on loan for next season and line him up with Antonio Cassano upfront in a bid to make an impact on the UEFA Cup.

Milan though wouldn't be eager at all to offload their young gun since they are themselves struggling to sign new and world class strikers.
