City hopeful to land Dinho.

01 July 2008 - 22:50

FC Barcelona have decided that Ronaldinho is surplus to their requirements, Manchester City are hopeful that they can sign the two time world player of the year.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho does not fare in the new coach Guardiola's long-term plans and has been asked to find a new club. The player's agent have denied a move to the English Premier League and has announced that Ronaldinho likes to move to AC Milan instead.

Manchester City have enough funds, the club owner, Thaksin Shinawatra is a keen admirer of the world cup winner and he wants to sign the player at any cost. The Citizens had openly declared their interest in signing him, although Ronaldinho has shown no interest in a move to the Eastlands.

A source close to the club has informed that there is still a possibility that the deal can happen and Ronaldinho could be brought in to the City of Manchester Stadium.

Mark Hughes has not made a comment on this, but if they sign the gifted player, it is sure that he will play a major role in taking Manchester City to Premier League heights.

Ronaldinho has the ability to turn matches and win games single handedly. This will be a great aid to Hughes and the club.
