Bolton are to make an offer for AC Milan's want away defender Dario Simic this summer. It was believed that Bolton wished to sign Bernard Mendy, but a deal for the Frenchman fell through.
Bolton have now turned their attentions to Simic, who spent the last few years playing in Italy with AC Milan.
Simic indicated earlier in the summer that it was unlikely he would stay another season, in spite of the fact he has another year left on his current contract.
The Trotters are ready to pick up Simic on the cheap - for a price believed to be in the region of around £500,000.
