Premiership giants Chelsea have declared that they have rejected an offer from Inter Milan for their star midfielder Frank Lampard.
There have been rumours floating in the transfer market that Italian champions Inter Milan had launched a huge bid for the player and there were even reports saying that the player himself has agreed terms with the player.
But now Chelsea have confirmed that they indeed have received a bid from Inter but they have also made it clear that they have rejected he offer.
A statement on Chelsea's official website reads:
"Chelsea Football Club can confirm it has received an official approach from Internazionale to discuss the possible transfer of Frank Lampard. Contrary to reports no financial offer was made.
"Chelsea FC has informed Inter this morning (Tuesday, July 8) that we will not enter into any discussions regarding the transfer of Frank Lampard."
