Rafa hunting for Silva lining

According to British press reports, Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is still in the hunt for David Silva of Valencia.

The Sun reports that Rafa is still hopeful that he can strike a deal with his former club over a possible signing for the player.



Silva is just 22 years of age and is one of the best players in the world. He is a versatile player who can play as a winger, as a midfielder or as a striker.



David Silva was phenomenal in the recently concluded Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland and that has raised his stakes further.



Given their financial precariousness, Valencia might have to sell a few of their major stars and The Sun reports that Rafael Benitez would like to take advantage of this situation.
